How purity is tested, what research use only means, and how compounds are stored, shipped and paid for.
About Yield N Helix
- What is Yield N Helix?
- Yield N Helix is a supplier of high-purity research peptides and reference compounds for laboratory use. Every compound is third-party tested to 99% purity by HPLC and mass spectrometry and is sold strictly for laboratory and research use only — not for human or veterinary consumption.
- What does “research use only” mean?
- Research use only (RUO) means a product is intended solely for laboratory experimentation by qualified professionals. RUO products are not drugs, foods, cosmetics, or dietary supplements; they are not approved by the FDA or any comparable authority for use in humans or animals, and they may not be used to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any condition.
- Can I use these products on myself or on animals?
- No. Nothing sold by Yield N Helix may be administered to humans or animals under any circumstances. Products are supplied for in-vitro and analytical laboratory research only, and buyers attest to this before ordering. Orders we believe are intended for human or veterinary use are refused.
- Who is allowed to buy?
- Buyers must be at least 21 years old and must be qualified researchers, licensed professionals, or institutions capable of handling research materials safely and lawfully. Buyers confirm this at checkout and are responsible for compliance with the laws of their own jurisdiction.
Purity and testing
- How is purity tested?
- Purity is verified by independent third-party laboratories using high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) for quantification and mass spectrometry (MS) for identity confirmation. Results are recorded per batch on a Certificate of Analysis.
- What is a Certificate of Analysis (COA)?
- A Certificate of Analysis is a document from a testing laboratory recording a specific batch's measured purity and confirmed identity. Yield N Helix publishes COAs per batch on the Lab Results page and links them from each product page, so a vial can be traced to the test that cleared it.
- What does 99% purity mean?
- 99% purity means chromatographic analysis found the target compound to account for at least 99% of the material by peak area, with the remainder being residual synthesis by-products, counter-ions, or moisture. Purity describes composition; it is not a statement about safety or suitability for any use in humans or animals.
Handling and storage
- What form do the compounds ship in?
- Compounds ship as lyophilized (freeze-dried) powder in sealed glass vials. Lyophilized peptides are stable far longer than solutions, which is why they are supplied dry rather than pre-reconstituted.
- How should research peptides be stored?
- Store lyophilized vials at −20°C, protected from light and moisture. Once reconstituted, refrigerate at 2–8°C and use within the window indicated on the product's datasheet. Repeated freeze-thaw cycles degrade peptides and should be avoided.
Ordering and shipping
- How fast do orders ship?
- Orders ship within one business day of payment being confirmed. Shipping is free on orders over $200; below that, checkout compares live UPS, USPS, FedEx and DHL rates for the smallest box the order fits in and charges the cheapest.
- What payment methods are accepted?
- Payment is accepted by card and by cryptocurrency through a hosted checkout, and directly by Zelle or USDT transfer. Orders paid directly ship once the transfer is confirmed, usually the same business day.
- Do you ship internationally?
- Shipping availability depends on destination. Buyers are responsible for confirming that a compound may lawfully be imported into their jurisdiction and for any customs duties; orders to destinations we cannot lawfully serve are refused and refunded.
- What is the return policy?
- Because these are research materials whose integrity depends on unbroken cold-chain and seal, opened vials cannot be returned. Shipments that arrive damaged, incorrect, or outside specification are replaced or refunded — see the Shipping & Returns policy for the inspection window and claim process.
For the full policy, see our Research Use policy.
